Frequently Asked Questions

Why Choose our exclusive Tiltex B anti cracking gccm over other Concrete Cloth Products Available?

  • Tiltex is 5 metres wide compared with the standard 1.1m wide rolls available in the market offering less overlaps, less seaming (with no screws) therefore less material wastage and faster installation results.

  • Compressive Strength is 80MPa & Flexural Strength is 16.1MPa* providing more strength & more bending/flexibility than other GCCM’s available in the market.

What gives Tiltex B it’s unique, high performing anti cracking properties?

  • Tiltex B Anti Cracking GCCM has an exclusive, high performing anti cracking basalt fibre mixed within the rapid setting cement & sand mix.

WHICH TILTEX MATERIAL IS BEST FOR MY PROJECT?

Tiltex B Anti Cracking GCCM range is available in 7B, 9B, 10B & 12B - the number representing the mm thickness, (7.5mm to 12.5mm) giving the client options for a variety of applications. Our Tiltex Solid Screen, Tiltex Plus, Tiltex Turf and Sandmat range of products have a number of grades and options.

  • Tiltex Australia engineers, sales and management team will help guide you with design and product choice. From the initial design advice, to material suggestion, to delivery and installation and warranty we offer a full service solution plus supply and installation options.

  • Our independent 3rd party tests results quantify our product properties.

How Quickly does Tiltex B reach 80MPa Compressive Strength Concrete ?

  • Within 24 hours after hydration, Tiltex reaches 50MPa Compressive Strength.

After 30 days it reaches full 80MPa compressive strength.

  • See our product data sheets for further detailed information.

Can Tiltex be used in colder climates where concrete has the propensity to crack? or warmer climates where it can also crack due extreme heat and variance in temperatures?

  • Tiltex B has been independently tested to withstand freeze/thaw conditions of -50 degrees Celsius and +50 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for cold & hot climate conditions due to its anti-cracking enhanced fibre in our ‘B’ range (Tiltex 7B, 9B, 10B, 12B) offering the highest anti cracking cementitious product available.

Why use Tiltex B anTI cracking gccm instead of Rip Rap, Shotcrete & Concrete?

  • Tiltex is easier and faster to install with less labour resources required for the installation and has a better product aesthetic.

  • Due to its less material requirements, less transportation and faster installation than traditional erosion control methods, Tiltex is a more cost effective erosion control solution.

  • 4 man Tiltex installation crew can achieve greater than 2500-3500m2 per day or a program of multiple crews can gain even greater productivity, subject to access and site difficulties.

  • Tiltex can be coloured to suit or blend within a particular environment and has flexibility around shapes and curves.

How is Tiltex an environmentally Sustainable erosion control solution ?

  • Tiltex uses 86% less material than traditional erosion control methods while maintaining strength and durability.

  • Tiltex takes less time to install, thus reducing travel and vehicle usage, preventing excessive carbon emissions.
