Erosion Control

Tiltex B Anti Cracking GCCM is designed for erosion control for embankments, road drainage channels, drop structures, benched drains, spillways, canals and protection of geomembranes.

Adelaide Estuary Project

  • This river estuary in Adelaide is inhabited by Australia’s largest salt water crocodile population.

  • Our client used to truck in 1 load/32 tonnes of quarry rock, 90 minutes away from site, to cover 17m2 of river bank. One truck load of Tiltex B Anti Cracking GCCM can cover 1600m2 (12B) and up to 2300m2 (7B) to control river bank erosion. 1 roll is installed in less than 20 minutes making travel, cartage and installation times reduce by more than half.

Spillway Mining Project

  • Our Mining client in Queensland specified and installed Tiltex B Anti Cracking GCCM to replace rock pitching.

Railway Infrastructure Projects

  • Drainage Control Maintenance

  • Tiltex B Anti Cracking GCCM was recently installed for drainage control between live rail tracks with NSW Government Rail Authority.

  • Due to the time limit for the railway to be closed whilst track maintenance took place, Tiltex B Anti Cracking GCCM was the perfect choice for a fast installation and for it’s durability for government infrastructure projects.

Sydney Metro Rail for Laing O’Rourke

Tiltex 12B Anti Cracking GCCM was specified for NSW Government Rail Authority and replaced 100mm concrete & shotcrete in a rail corridor. Nearly 2Km of drains were installed.

  • 100m2 of Tiltex 12B can be installed every 20 minutes which was significantly faster than the traditional erosion control methods used by rail of shotcrete & concrete due it’s 5 metre wide rolls and no screw requirements with installation.

  • Due to it’s time, material and transportation savings, Tiltex was a cost effective erosion control solution for NSW Government Rail as there was less rail storage to install the material than traditional methods previously used.

  • Tiltex Sandmat can be incorporated beneath Tiltex as a drainage and cushioning geocomposite material.
